The two things they did to me.

i am an injured man because they did things to my mind and to my soul.

i can't make it through the day without some kind of medication to keep me going.

its getting worse with age not better.. first they warped my life plan.

It really is a shame to have to look back on lost opportunities and regrets. Through deception, the wt has stolen much from many.

I sincerely hope you will work through your grief and that many excellent opportunities will come your way.

Do something about your life.............

it seems that no matter how successful i am in life (family, career, social, money, etc...) it doesn't matter to my mother......her comment is always something like "when are you going to do something about the truth".

i get so agrivated that i want to scream!!

i have explained to her that i no longer believe the governing body to be directed by god - she knows i don't believe it is the truth any longer - yet every few months she says "when are you going to do something about your life" - it's like she's talking to a recovering drug addict just coming out of rehab with no job and nowhere to live.....do something about your life..........she just doesn't get it.

awww yuck! That is so awful. I really feel for you. It sounds so frustating.

I don't have to deal with it myself, I guess I am really lucky.

Jonathanseagull, the weird thread you put up a link to is just roleplaying. It's like dungeons and dragons but with star trek... I roleplay twice a week with a group in my home. As I understood it the WT forbid roleplay... but I could be wrong! :)

Update on my little sister

for those of you who were so helpful in the hard time we were going through in my sister in laws case of abuse, i have some really good news.. she is 14 yrs old and her mother is a jw, totally active witness, her mother married the girls father after he served only 14 yrs of a 25 to life sentence for manslaughter.

he was released because the prison closed down and the others are overcrowded.

the mother married him, and after only 3 months of being out he started physically abusing the daughter(my hubby's sister).

oh Mammashel, I am so happy for you and for that dear girl!!! Thank the Goddess she is safe with you now! I grew up in an abusive household and it was hell on earth, I wish I'd had someone to rescue me at 14.
I am so glad you could be there for her. She is safe physically, and hopefully will enjoy being safe spiritually, away from the jws!

A Child Molestation Case

my personal experience aside, once again pedophilia has touched close to home.

some of you may know that i'm catholic, and that my bishop, wilton gregory, is the head of the united states conference of catholic bishops that came up with the zero tolerance policy for abuse.

bishop gregory, bishop of the diocese of belleville, illinois, was recently in the vatican urging support for the policy, for which the vatican has expressed concerns about the rights of the priests being violated.
